Vision Point Systems built the Healthcare Communication Center (HCC) as an Appian solution combined with Twilio’s secure cloud communications infrastructure in order to meet the goal of a simple user communication experience, secure and private data, and an easy-to-maintain and customizable platform.
The HCC was created as a response to the rapidly growing demand for highly secure virtual healthcare and communication options. Historically, solutions offered for real-time communication between doctors and patients have been limited both by availability and regulatory requirements. Strict HIPAA regulations demand advanced security– such as secure user login, audit tracking, and data encryption.
HCC enables simple and secure communication in a user-friendly, customizable platform. Providers can communicate directly with patients through their devices, taking advantage of HIPAA-compliant security while providing an improved patient experience and expediting communication options for staff. The platform also supports automated appointment reminders.
To use the application, providers must have an internet connection and a computer browser or the secure Appian Mobile app.
